Not sure I can answer this one definitively. It works for me, but I am running a LEO rom with a zoombar extension that I found over on XDA. I do not know if it is native, LEO, or the zoombar extension that made it work.

In the old days you had to mod the registry for 9x:

[HKLM\Software\HTC\SmartTouch\Opera Browser]
"FullPath"="\Windows\Opera9.exe"

The speedloader file is still installed (om10qs.exe), but I did remove the entry for the shortcut. I just double checked and it is not there.

The 1st CAB I downloaded from your post still has the Startup shortcut. Thats why I asked the question. I just re-downloaded your CAB again. Trust me the shortcut to om10qs.exe is still there.

EDIT: Hey sorry about all the confusion. It's weird.

I opened up your cab via WinCE CAB Manager and it clearly shows that the "Startup shortcut" is still there. I re-checked my Startup folder and I don't see the shortcut.

Is it because you have manipulated the Setup.dll?

GAlarm 1.5.1 cab has a screen that asks u to confirm a bunch of junk before it actually installs... can u clean that up, just make it english and maybe set it to show the alarm in tf3d.

I am not sure why you are seeing it in WinCE. It is not there. I edit these XML files by hand (I know I am crazy). The Setup.dll file simply promps you if you want to make Opera your default browser (it did not work), and asks you if you want to launch it now.

That is not true of all Setup.DLL files (see my comment about gAlaram below).

I will give it a quick try. I have looked at this one before because it bothers me as well. Unfortunately, the author is actually completing the install using the Setup.DLL approach. This means that removing it causes the install to be incomplete. I will see if I can figure out exactly what he is doing so I can complete the install myself.
