i havent been able to find anyone with a fix either (tmobile service)...think its time to throw in the towel and look for a new phone.

HELP!
I'm having the same trouble with my phone: It's like as soon as I move around a bit, it won't connect to a different tower or something.
It's a sprint touch pro 2, sim and security unlocked by olipro. I'm using it on the gsm AT&T network, but it acts just like you guys are talking about, it keeps dropping me. I have to manually search and reconnect to the network. Has anyone found a solution to this?
Does anyone use a Sprint touch pro 2 on AT&T USA network and NOT have this problem? What radio do you have? What ROM? I'm willing to try anything.

what settings are you using in gsm mode?

I've tried just about all of them!
What I thought would work would be:
Mode of operation: GSM only
GSM Network selection: Manual

under select your network type: GSM
Band: GSM(1900 + 850) + UMTS(1900 +850)



Does anyone have a working phone on AT&T with these settings?

have you played with the other bands? maybe it's just t-mobile that those work on....are you in a good at&t coverage area?

Yes, I'm trying different things. I'm in the city with good coverage.
To possibly help here's more info. My friend has the same problem. He's in another state, in good coverage area.
We both have touch pro 2 by Sprint. Unlocked by http://rhodium.htc-unlocks.com/
We're both on AT&T network, tried 2 different ROMs...

i can't say if it's the rom or not, but i'm on stock. i'm also using t-mobile, maybe at&t is doing something to kick folks off the network....? i'll keep looking for a solution, but today i was on t-mo for 30 mins, never lost my signal. i actually get more bars in t-mo mode than sprint mode.
