Touch Pro 2 CDMA > GSM Capabilities

Silly question probably, but I'm thinking of switching to Sprint Touch Pro 2. Let's say I was able to unlock it so I could use any SIM card. Since it supports GSM 850/1900 and WCDMA 2100 is there any reason it would not work on the T-Mobile network in the US? This is really just for curiosity sake, but it would be a nice feature.
