SMS Timestamp not showing..(It's not a 2016 problem)

Whenever I receive a message, it will show the date, not the time which I really like. When I send a text however, it shows the time that I sent it. It's not 2016 problem because mine would say 1/1/10 or something like that. Any help guys? I have a HTC Touch Pro 2 from Sprint
