i don't know, but i never put magnets near my device. people complain about them waking up their phones from sleep (htc phones) or even changing the ringer profile (blackberry)... doesn't sound like something i'd want near my tp2.

Btw, i'd wait until your 30days is up before you flash. just in case things go horribly wrong for no reason with the device. When you're ready, just follow the tutorials in the cdma upgrade section (if youre on sprint) for unlocking the phone. then its easy to just flash any rom whenever you want after that.

so? i mean, i havent seen or used one, but magnets are magnets are they not (doesn't matter what case theyre on)? And I didn't mean to make it sound like they're bad... people just complain that many cases with magnets have strange issues. I wouldn't listen to them if you've been fine with it, but it's not something i'd use. Plus, i hate the bulk of a case like that and it seems ike a hassle to pull the phone out when you get a call. I usually go for the seidio innocase when i want to protect my windows phones.

Regarding the Proximity Sensor function on my stock ROM Verizon TP2:

Lately, when I make a call, the display turns off, but if I then pull it away, most of hte time it won't turn on at all, regardless of how long I wait. I can hit the on/off button on top, and it will turn the display back on.

And if it does turn back on, it shows the Notification Screen, not the phone function.

What are the Registry entries that control this function? I don't want to turn it off, but I want to see what the settings are, and if they need to be adjusted. I'm not aware of any settings in the phone proper that control this function.

Again, stock ROM, with the major tweaks being the Proxy CAB to save some memory usage, along with a variety of registry changes (to remove Bluetooth turnoff notification, Sent Message notification, etc.).

can a magnet affect the proximity sensor???

The magnet issue will override the proximity sensor. However, there is a regedit to deactivate that. Until I did, I noticed that if the metal plate in my head had become magnetized, my proximity sensor didn't work

Re: proximity sensor

hey reyrey did you install some kind of lock program? that caused my proximity sensor to have the same exact behavior as you described. I disabled it and it went back to normal.
