Re: Is it worth upgrading to a class 6 microsd card and which ones for the TP2?

Thanks for the help everyone, I'll probably at this point go with a class 4 since it won't seem to make a difference on the phone side but transferring from PC to card would be an improvement.

Re: Is it worth upgrading to a class 6 microsd card and which ones for the TP2?

A little late to the thread here, but I myself use only a CLASS 2 sandisk (2GB) and I've never had a problem with lag. I even run iGO8 turn-by-turn nav off of it and it has never lagged out on me

When I first got the card I thought it would only be a temporary purchase since I originally planned on upgrading to a class 6 later... but now that I've seen the class 2 perform just fine from everything I've thrown at it, I think I'll just stick with the class 2 and save the money

The classes do mean something these are industry standard rating for the speed not opions and if you do proper benchmarking you do see the speed difference between the cards. this very apperant when transfering files with onboard gps maps the screen refresh is much quicker and when playing large videos from the card.

If you flash your phone and move lots of cab files from your PC to your phone, or you play music / videos, Go for the faster card. If not, you are on the wrong site.

Re: Is it worth upgrading to a class 6 microsd card and which ones for the TP2?

I was contemplating too about getting a higher class card but luckily I found a class 6 Ridata 16gb for $48.99 at newegg.com. If you want a cheaper class 2 you can get a Polaroid brand at frys.com $24.99 after MIR.
