Re: Using phone as modem, help!!!!!!

also if you use the X button in order to minimize opera , u have to set the X button to minimize on short press and close on long press otherwise u wood just be closing opera and defeating the purpose . in case u didn't know. or use the hard key on bottom of phone to get to programs and then open ICS

Re: Using phone as modem, help!!!!!!

If you just wanna get Tethering going, I would first use Shaggylive's CMKiller here:

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=88014

That will keep your CMGuardian file from resetting any reg edits that are done.
Then use MightyMike's Tethering cab.

Re: Using phone as modem, help!!!!!!

just use WMWiFiRouter software and all is done automatically for you(3 options for tether 1:USB, 2:WiFI(your phone becomes wireless router), 3: BlueTooth(same as #2 but via BT). Been using this soft for well over 2 years now on different WM devices without a single hiccup or extra charge from carriers(on TMobile and Sprint). Need any further help on it - PM me will try my best to help. And no i am not affiliated with the company

Re: Using phone as modem, help!!!!!!

I used the CMGuardian killer and my connection still goes back to phone on modem at times. I know it goes back after being turned off and on. I didn't realize that and looked over and saw phone as modem after a bit of tethering and about had a heart attack. So far nothing showing up on my account thank goodness.

Re: Using phone as modem, help!!!!!!

Not sure where to ask this and have been doing some searching. Tethering is fine on my Sprint tp2 but my wife recently got a tmo g2 and we would like to know how to do the same with that. Not sure why but I find no info about that phone on here. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you
