Re: Who plans to go HD2?
I dont get why people keep saying the tp2 kills newer phones in functionality.. what exactly are these functions we're speaking of? It definitely cant be speed or screen response. Definitely cant be loading or using apps without crashes.. and I wont even mention games. So what exactly are we speaking of here? And keep in mind I do have a tp2 but im just curious. I mean I like my tp2 dont get me wrong but when I use newer phones and then go back to it it just seems sooooooooooooo slow and unresponsive. I dont use microsoft office and rarely use the qwerty so I just cant see it. Is it multi tasking? What am I missing?

Come on man, you bought one so you obviously know what it does. Don't try to act like it's just a piece of junk just because you went out and got yourself an iPhone. |

-great keyboard but onscreen keyboard is faster -android has multitasking, programs actually open up faster then they do on the tp2 -nexus and hero both have flash drive and removable memory. as soon as you plug to computer, even easier then the tp2 because it has the option to mount and dismount -the tilt feature comes from the actual phone, not the os. these are the only features you can name that are better, and none of them except the slingbox is an actual advantage. the advantages of android over 6.5 this list would never end. its like you said i bought both i know exactly what the tp2 does compared to the nexus or motorola droid. |

2: Man you keep saying this and that about Android being faster and I wasn't going to get into it, but on all the videos I have seen comparing the 2- yes, the Nexus One was faster, but the page looked better on the WinMo device. Speed isn't always everything. And talking abou tspeed- run that same speed test on a G1 and compare it to a Touch Pro 2. Of course it's faster when the hardware is like 2 generations newer. 3: So the Hero has a flash drive option- big whoop. Does that mean the Touch Pro 2 doesn't or something? Just because the Hero does it too doesn't mean the Touch Pro 2 is less functional. Show me the keyboard on either of them. Show me the sling player. 4: Yes, the tilt feature comes form the actual phone, no tthe OS. The speed you are talking about also comes from the actual phone, not the OS. Again, show me an HD2 speed test up against a T-Mobile G1. 5: Onscreen keyboard is NOT faster, lol. Maybe for you, but most definitely not for me. I can type on the keyboard without even looking. And I can also type on the keyboard without some virtual keyboard taking up half my screen. So when I type up a Word Doc (another function of the Toch Pro 2) I can get busy with it. 6: You are comparing the latest and greatest Android hardware to last generation WinMo hardware. Not a fair comparison at all. Again, sit an HD2 next to a T-Mobile G1 and then tell me which one is faster. You think the OS is all there is to it, but that is certainly not the case. |

Re: Who plans to go HD2?
Is there going to be a CDMA version of this phone?
Or is the best we Sprint users got the HTC Supersonic.... Last edited by i360; 02-01-2010 at 08:05 PM. |

http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=jAzYX...ient=mv-google excuse the vulgarness...LOL. this is just one example. Day to day usage and apps, winmo/tp2 just cannot compete with android/nexus/Droid/any android phone. This ones the Facebook app. Look how crappy it is on the tp2. Can't even switch next pic... now these bids are both on wifi. The phones that is.. http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=VxST3...ient=mv-google WINMO needs a change. AND untill that happens count me out. Still I don't see these funcionalities everyone speaks of winmo being able to do more. I bet by the time you open up a browser on the tp2 I'd already have the page loaded on my nexus.... And I never once have used word or excel or any of that and I bet (most) people with a tp2 have either....... I never thought I would be able to type faster on screen than a hardware keyboard but its true.
