2. I have an iPod Touch and the TP2. It is a love/hate relationship with WM. I have used the 6600, 6700, 6800 (Mogul. Kabuk1.. Neither device is what it can or should be unless you unlock it. WM is crippled by neglect and by third party software TRYING to help (but ultimately hurting).

I have unlocked every WM phone I have owned to make it USABLE. At the same time I had to unlock the iTouch to make it USABLE. They both excel over the other depending on what you need/want it to do.

THERE IS NO WRONG ANSWER. THERE ARE WRONG PEOPLE TRYING TO PRODUCE THE RIGHT ANSWER.

I plan on getting the iPhone. I don't dislike WM but I think it may be a better fit for me. I plan to keep my TP2 at the same time. What works for me may not work for you and vice versa. That should be ok.

Wm is not complicated either, if you are atleast knowledgeable on regular pc windows you understand how windows mobile works as well (registry, windows folder, drivers etc). Its not that its complicated it just doesnt run very well IMO. It needs a major OS overhaul and optimizations. Its still using the same framework that was sluggish back in 05 with minor changes every other year (give or take). But thats not the only problem, the biggest problem is lack of good hardware backing it, htc and others really need to stop playing and start rolling out more devices like hd2, but even so an iphone is only running a 6XX mhz proccessor and boast some of the best graphic capabilities Ive seen on a mobile, and smoothly too.

I cant wait for WM7 because its minimum hardware requirements are very high and should lead too some nice devices being released.

All of this is simply MY OPINION based on MY NEEDS. Keep in mind Im not a business user so the business aspect of devices has no bearing on my opinion. 1st and foremost I want a great phone with secondary concerns being internet, entertainment, and gps. So like its been said numerous times in this thread it all depend on the user

ps. i really wish that there was a NATIVE weather panel built by MS for titanium >:/

I could not find anything on GOOGLE to support this claim. Show me where you found this information, otherwise I call BS. I can believe that the iPhone is probably the highest selling phone in general, but the highest seller for business use? Nah.

I cant even explain how annoying it is reading posts about people dogging Winmo when they have winmo and a tp2. If you guys like android so Much get the damn thing... Everybody seems to be sucking androids wang but yet still has a tp2 with windows and their dogging it... Isnt that kinda like a oxy moron????I Dont get it? if I hated winmo I sure as shit wouldnt have winmo,, What gives ya wierdos????

I don't get why people keep something they hate, no matter what it is. The common argument for it is "I can't afford the ETF!" Uh, if you can afford a phone that's $350 even with a new contract, you can afford an ETF if you hate the damn thing THAT much. Hell, sell it & use the profits to pay the ETF & get your Droid or iPhone or whatever. I honestly think some people just love to bitch.

I don't get the Android fascination either. OMG, screen widgets! Yawn. I've played with it & while it's nice, I was really underwhelmed. Same with iPhone. I walked away thinking "Wow, it's pretty... but is that all?"

Just a few examples to name a few:

6.1 seemed to run a lot better than 6.5 did at least in my opinion. There is nothing wrong with the phone, it just is slow.

I am thinking about maybe dumping my grandfather sero plan so I can get a pre or something.

I really do like the phone itself just the os sucks. I have a new ipod 3rd gen and granted it's not a phone but it has the same "guts" as the 3gs. Everything I do on that thing is FAST. Aps open up very quickly, it's VERY smooth, it doesn't freeze, the web browser crushes opera mobile. I would never get at&t and you can't customize the iphone as much as a wm phone.

Yes I know if I don't like it I can get a new phone but like I said I do like the phone itself, love the keyboard but the OS just blows.

You have full controll of your phone! If you arent happy do reg edits or rewrite apps and programs to do what you want when u want, slim it down. This is a computer with a phone app. Not a phone with a computer app. Windows can scream if u want it too. 6.5 is still fresh too. If u need help or advice ask, thats what ppcg is about. Every OS for every phone is under constant development. Your opinions and desires are major!!! Thank you for expressing these issues as I agree they need to be adressed.

I also have a Hero and it doesnt seem much faster to me and it is bare. Start loading apps and multi tasking, im sure it bogs down too.

Palms are sexy but limit your control, my opinion dont do it.

Maybe try the 6.1 Blackout rom for a min first? Still beta though, but all these roms kinda are!
