OK, am I missing something?

I have had my TP2 for about 4 or 5 weeks now. I started (obviously) with stock rom, and while it was boring and less than expected, it worked. The first rom I tried, was CFay's, and it worked but I wanted to try others. I flashed Juicy's and it worked good too. Then I flashed mighty's and it was great, except after about 4 or 5 days, I could not answer or use my phone without my bluetooth. I was ready to try another rom, so it didn't bother me. I flashed Juicy's R6, and today, I could not answer my phone with my BT shut off and disconnected.

Am I missing a vital part of flashing, that only shows up after several days? All other functions and apps, (the ones known to work) seem fine, and phone functions seem fine until around 3 4 or 5 days.

thoughts or suggestions welcome.

planning on flashing another rom <?> in the next day or two.

thanks,
g

Try flashing back to stock.
Sounds to me like a bad device.

Re: OK, am I missing something?

Are you using Schapps Advanced Config? It can cause problems on CDMA phones, especially if you hit the default button on it.

Re: OK, am I missing something?

I am using htc addicts clean ram, but not using schapp's. I'll uninstall clean ram and see if that helps. One question, knowing MS OS's, is there something 'safer' to use? Their os's have always been 'stingy' about releasing memory back to the system.

Re: OK, am I missing something?

Are you using Hd tweak. There are settings in HD tweaks that can mess up your phone. When I flash a new rom, I try to use it for a couples hours or a day, then install my apps. That way I can pinpoint if the rom is buggy or if a app is causing problems.

That's actually VERY good advice.

Re: OK, am I missing something?

No, to HD Tweaks. I uninstalled clean ram, and a couple other little progs that I wasn't really using like a reg editor and we'll see how it responds today.

thanks again for everyone's input. I appreciate it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think memmaid is pretty safe to use and might be better than clean RAM. Its not free but it does have trial period.

Re: OK, am I missing something?

I've tried several chefs ROMs and they have all worked fine.
Never did the extra hard reset or flash to stock either.

I've mostly been on Energy ROM's lately though.

Most of the ROMs of the same flavor have simaler issues.

Keyboard mapping, MMS, provisioning, performance etc.

A lot of folks restore all there text messages and I think this is a BAD idea on any WM device and will cause weird stuff to happen.
