Re: What is a ROM?
Replacing. You are literally flashing a new ROM on the phone, replacing the original stock ROM.

Re: What is a ROM?
So basically.. if i get this SPB ROM.. i won't have to worry about upgrading to WM6.5 or any future WM updates...?
|
Re: What is a ROM?
SPB ROM??? What is that? The letters "SPB" are normally associated with the company SPB Software House (www.spbsoftwarehouse.com) and they make software for phones...not ROMs e.g. SPB Mobile Shell.
Regardless, if you flash a custom ROM e.g. MightyMike, Energy, Juicy, etc. you'll be flashing a brand new OS, like 6.5 as you mentioned. Typcially you'd then either try different ROMs, or if you find one you like you'd probably flash the new versions of that chefs ROM as they are released / updated. |
Re: What is a ROM?
Ahh.. yes.. i was getting ROMs and shells confused.. so what is a shell? is that what SPB makes?
|
Re: What is a ROM?
TF3D / Manila is a shell. Titanium is a shell. SPB MobileShell is a shell. They are applications that basically replace the original Windows Today screen and provide added functionality and customization.
Over and out. |
Re: What is a ROM?
Are ROMs and Shells free?
