Looking For A Stable Rom With Sense UI
 

Im looking for a stable fully functional rom with little to no bugs, that has the weather on the homescreen with the weather animations.

how does the sense 2.1 weather animations compare to the sense 2.5 weather animations? any difference? and on the sense 2.5 roms is the landscape mode functional?

im on verizon stock about to try out a good stable rom any advice? or suggestions?

also i've read that some of the roms the sms and mainly mms will not work what will i need to get these to work? and if possible can someone post the cab to get the mms working whenever i flash to a new rom?

Try MightyRom 12/6 release (21869 build of winmo6.5 with Manila 2.1)

The weather animations are pretty much the same for both Manila 2.1 and 2.5.
FYI Manila 2.5 is pretty buggy in general so are any 28xxx builds of winmo (6.5.3). So stick with 21xxx builds (winmo6.5) and Manila 2.1 and you'll have no headaches.

thanks flashing to that now going to try it out what do i do about my messaging will mms still work on this rom? if not what do i need install to get it working?

Im also looking for the same as you. unfortunately MM 12/6 is buggy on my phone but i think its something in particular with my phone cause most people have no problems with Might Rom it seems..

Im on the look out for a 6.1 rom with sense 2.1.. most roms seem to have 6.5

others have recomended Cfay and yay4jugs roms but ihavent tried them yet

I don't think that 6.1 sense has been made or if it's even possible....

Try Cfay's, Yay4Juggs got banned so support will be limited
CFay also posted that he will be updating over the weekend i believe so idk if you want to wait....

bummer that mightyrom doesnt work for you. I've had absolutely 0 problems with the 12/6 rom, and I'm on sprint too.

im on the mighty rom with the sense ui how do i get the weather to show on the home screen it did it one time when i first powered on the phone now i cant get it to do it anymore is it something special u have to do? i have the cab from mighty rom thread that enables the weather on the home screen regardless of what wallpaper you're using any help with this?

can wm6.1 work with manila 2.1 with sense? Ive read those are the stablest roms

If you tap on the task bar (upper right hand corner) to open and tap to close, then the weather animations should show up. also some wallpapers dont support the animation, but there are various cabs out there that make the weather work for every wallpaper.

I would also give a +1 on MM 12/6 rom been working fine on my end with no problems.

I don't see why not? Manila 2.1 is really just an add on for windows mobile. But that sounds like a real hassle, seems easier to just go winmo6.5+manila2.1 all already setup in a custom rom. MightyROM's winmo6.5 build is actually taken from a stock rom, probably why it's basically bugfree. I haven't had any issues.

thats the cab i have installed and the weather animations only show one time if i restart the phone, when it comes back on it shows the animations one time, and then when i try to go back to the home page again it doesnt show it anymore unless i restart..

i tried to touch the notification bar and hit close and it wouldnt show

see its weird i did a couple restarts and it worked as you said with the notification bar then hit close...

now i let the phone sit for a few mins and its not doing it anymore i hit close on the notification bar and no more animations? maybe ill have to try another cab, i've seen videos where all they did was jus go to the home screen and let it just sit and the animations would just show up after a lil bit of tiime

EDIT:

i've found that hitting the END button brings me the weather animations everytime

I cooked a Manila 2.1 WM 6.5 ROM with Calkulin's kitchen and so far am very happy with it. I did have to iron out the MMS bug but it works now almost exactly as it did in the stock 6.1 ROM. I've converted that fix into an EXT and am going to try to see if it can be cooked in this weekend. I'll be happy to send you the EXT if it works so you can add it yourself, or even give you the kitchen with my additions or my fully cooked ROM.
