Clock in taskbar and Icons that dont affect start menu

this is a two part question. For some reason there is not a clock in my taskbar as i use my device. If I am not on the home screen i dont know what time it is when using my phone. Also I actually like the new touch flow on this phone but I also like custom icons. When I had the custom icons installed it affected my start menu. Normally when you hit the hard key windows logo a full screen list of your chosen apps comes up. But when the custom icons are installed it turns that into a small drop down box like it was on the Mogul. Does anybody have or know of any custom icon sets that down affect the start menu? Thanks guys.

If you are still on stock ROM then you can use the Spike taskbar in the tips/tweaks forum. As far as the clock, I know there is a setting to have it always visible in the taskbar (I think it's under settings -> clocks and alarms), but I can't verify the exact location because I'm currently running a custom 6.5.3 ROM (both clock and battery are visible at ALL times with 6.5.3).

You were 70% there. In clocks and alarms click the More tab on the bottom and check "Display clock on the title bar...". The only drawback is the clock will take over your battery icon. But if you are using DCI battery or vistahide battery bar guage then that wont bother you much.

I am one that absolutely has to have the clock and the battery in my taskbar (in addtion to dci_battery). For this reason I can't even consider going back from a 6.5.3 ROM. I'm just glad Mighty finally made one so I don't have to continue cooking my own (although I still may just for kicks).

Rob see attached files for DCI battery you were asking. Vistahide is the same but you have to copy it into your start up folder so it's better to just use the dci cab.
