Re: Belt clip cell phone holster for htc touch pro2 cdma $3.30
I *LOVE* the cheap plastic holsters... I've used them on my last 4 HTC phones (Tornado, Wizard, Titan, Touch Pro)... They come in super handy when trying to find creative ways to mount my phone to the dashboard of my car (have it clipped to a hook I mounted, phone faces outward- much smaller and nicer looking than those huge ugly window mounts). And I usually pay about $5 for it.
I also like how thin it is when I want to clip it to my pants when wearing a suit jacket or something. The full leatherish holster may protect better, but there are some times that a swivel open-faced plastic holster comes in far more handy. Sure, eventually the plastic clip that snaps over the top gets weak, and I've had 2 break, but they are so cheap to replace, and they won't really break while carrying your phone. If it does break, I've seen from experience that it breaks upon insertion and you know right away. Once it snaps in, you're not in any real danger of it "falling out" as some neighsayers will tell you. Note that the folks who tell you to avoid these are those that have never tried one. The problem is, I have *NOT* been able to find one for the Sprint TP2! All the ones I see on ebay (where I normally buy them) say for GSM version only. Then there's the CDMA model (which you've linked to here), but it looks far too square to fit... I don't get it. That looks like the shape of the Verizon Touch Pro 1. In fact, the model number on that page says for AM HTC XV6850 BC. XV6850, if I am not mistaken, is the model number for the old gimped and squared VZ TP. I wonder if the GSM sized TP2 would work for our phones. How different are the dimensions already? Aside from the 3.5mm jack, the body seems roughly the same...

Ah! On a whim I decided to check again, and it looks like the chinese holster makers are finally addressing the CDMA TP2:
http://cgi.ebay.com/Belt-Clip-Holste...#ht_1721wt_899 I've been searching for weeks, and this product didn't exist before. Saj070, i hate to break it to you, but I really think that case is a 6850 (Touch Pro 1) for Verizon case. There have been tons of them on ebay trying to pass as TP2 CDMA as well. |
