Regarding the HTC Touch Pro 2 Differences

I am curious are sprint and verizon the only ones with the touch pro 2 atm? Im also curious what are the resolutions of the screens on the different carriers?

I am sprint my reso is 800/480 wvga
my girlfriend is verizon and she is 640/480 vga

same phone yet not. Is there any speed or ram differences with other companies? or only the screen? Thank you!

T-Mobile also carries the GSM version of the Touch Pro 2. The screen resolution and internal hardware for all 3 carrier iterations is largely the same.

That's odd...Verizon's site states and I quote:

I know for a fact that all of the screens for all of the TP2s are identical. 3.6", 800x480 wvga. How did you come to the conclusion that your gf's was only 640x480 vga? Thats the resolution of the old TP.

That is very strange, In the owners manual it states that it is a 640/480 screen and online it states 800/480. Typo in the manual?

so my next question, whats the reason for sprint selling for 349? and verizon for 200? because sprint wants to stick it to us? I noticed the sprint touch pro 2 has higher reviews almost everywhere? I am way confused if they are the exact same phone?

I honestly think it's because the TP1 "got into the hands of poeple who shouldn't have had it" and Sprints trying to limit the amount of people with the phone down to the 1s that know how to use it

All 4 carriers have a touch pro2. thay are all "almost" the same. the differences are small in the hardware relating to looks and the cell radios. like you can surf and talk on att since its GSM. you cannot do that on Sprint or Verizon. I would go with the carrier that has the best service in your area relative to price for service. I have verizon since there service rules in Denver. Tried Sprint here and had a lot of missed calls. Upside is my phone was cheaper with verizon, the downside is my monthly plan costs more. Bottom like, focus on carrier. Kudos to the carriers and HTC for getting a TP2 on every network. Now you dont have to go with a carrier that stinks in your area just to get a cool phone. Less complaint calls and returns
