Touch Flo 3D Confusion??

Im getting mixed up with all these different touch flos going on here i need a little bit of clarification

the Verizon and Sprint Touch Pro 2's ship with Touch Flo 3D 2.1 correct?

so what does the HTC Imagio have on it? its different in that it has the weather in the clock, but its not the sense ui that has the moving clouds, leaves or whatever blowing through the whole screen like the HD2 does? the Imagio also has the GPS location in the weather tab

and now the U.S. Cellular version of the Touch Pro 2 has the weather in the clock and the touch flo icons of the HD2, has the weather dominating the home screen (i.e. leaves blowing or clouds passing through the whole home screen) but it does NOT have the 3 rows of shortcuts underneath the Call History and Appointments on the home screen like the HD2 does...what is this touch flo called? and why is this different from the Imagio's touch flo? what makes it different?

is the imagio not HTC sense because the weather doesnt dominate the home screen? is the imagio not sense because it doesnt have the icons of the hd2?

Whats the difference between 2.1, 2.5, and Sense?

im just trying to get a better understanding of the seemingly various versions of touch flo that are coming out of no where any help is appreciated

The Sprint and Verizon TP2 shipped with WM 6.1 with TF3D 2.1. no weather on home

The Imagio shipped with WM6.5 with TF3D 2.0 (an early version of HTC Sense) with weather on home

The US Cellular TP2 is shipping with WM 6.5 with a newer Sense 2.1 also with weather on home

WM 6.5 with HTC Sense 2.5 has the weather on home and the three program icons on the home screen. This build was designed for the HTC Leo, otherwise known as the HD2.

The Imagio is TF3D 2.0, not Sense, and not 2.1

Yeah, I corrected the first post. It is TF3D 2.0 on the Imagio, but essentially an early version of SenseUI 2.1.

Which is why your slider icons worked on the Imagio Brent, and not on other 6.5 roms.



The custom roms are needed for the weather on Home screen, because that is a whole new UI and it handles the files differently then the previous versions. HTC Sense will only run on WinMo 6.5, so it comes down to some of the OS handlings as well.

Yup..

What is strange though is I went ahead and copied every MANILA file off of an Imagio and put them onto a stock 6.1 TP2

and it worked !!!!

woah what about landscape mode? where did u copy the manilla files to?

now is the TP2 capable of running the newer US Cellular Rom and the HD2's sense 2.5 rom without lag? or slowdown?

Some of the custom roms on this site have Sense 2.5, I don't think there is any additional lag. Other changes in 2.5 are an improved HTC calendar (although still pretty lacking) and a bigger email display (a full sheet of paper instead of a half sheet in an envelop) However, Sense 2.5 (LEO) doesn't support landscape natively since the Leo doesn't have a keyboard. Currently a developer at XDA is hacking pretty solid landscape support into it. I don't think it's been released yet.

i know sprints non- sense UI is Manila 2.1 38687.2
