Anyone Use Pocket e-Sword Bible Reader?

Does anyone here use Pocket e-Sword version 3.1.0 which is the WVGA one? I am trying to figure out what is the windows class to that program when installed, I want to attempt to add a registry edit to allow landscape mode without sliding the keyboard out

Any help is appreciated!!!!

Yeah, I'd e-mail the author. I've spoken with Rick in the past (we have a mutual friend) and he's a great guy. I'm sure he'll try to help you if he can.

Talking Re: Anyone Use Pocket e-Sword Bible Reader?

I use a program called changeScreen v2.78.

Works fine woth e-Sword. Usws the g-sensor to rotate the screen.

Pretty easy to find by searching here, XDA or Google.

Now if I could just figure out how to adjust the fonts in the WVGA version of e-sword. Event the smallest setting is huge on the TP2.

Re: Anyone Use Pocket e-Sword Bible Reader?

I just tried e-Sword on my TP2 and I find that the fonts are not as crisp and clear as in all my other programs. Any idea why this might be?

Maybe this reader would be better. I have not tried it myself, so am not sure. However it has lots of free add ons to offer, including different fonts and free bibles even.

BibleReader Features and Screenshots

Verse Chooser allows you to quickly navigate anywhere you want to go in the Bible. Three taps allow you to choose book, chapter and verse. A variety of schedules are available to read through the scriptures from alternative routes.

Watch video tutorial

Split screen feature allows you to display up to six different windows on the screen at the same time. You can load them with three different Bibles for comparative reading, use one for a reference window to display dictionary and publisher notes in or use the whole screen to display a single text for easy continuous reading.
BibleReader also includes Auto Scrolling which allows you to continuously read the text without having to tap on the scrolling button to make the text advance forward. The speed is adjustable for the particular user whether you desire slower or faster scrolling.

Many of the texts we offer include hyperlinking to other valuable reference materials giving the user the ability to easily "dig" a little deeper in his study of the scriptures. Link to dictionaries, publisher notes and cross references that pertain to the hyperlinked word.

Cross References are available for easily finding comparable texts. A very helpful resource when researching a particular subject or light of thought through its development in the scriptures.

Highlighting, underlining and text bolding make it easy to mark those specific words or passages in the scripture that are outstanding to the individual reader. Choose from multiple highlight colors if you desire to keep a theme. Easily undo any marking if you choose to do so.

Topical Bookmarks allow you to create lists of your favorite verses. Arrange them by category or topic for future reference, even arrange the verses within the list in the most practical order for reviewing them at a later time.

Watch video tutorial

Personal Notes allows the user to create his own personal annotations for individual verses. Notes are stored and when the Personal Note icon is tapped on in the text the screen will split top and bottom displaying the users previously written note. This can be the equivilent of jotting a quick note in the margin of your Bible or something more extensive for future reference.

Watch video tutorial

Word and phrase search allows you to quickly find all the occurrences of a particular word or phrase in the Bible text or ebook that you are presently reading in. This valuable tool also allow you to set the perameters of your search to fine tune what you are looking for and where you want to find it. The results are returned to you as a list of verses with a sample phrase from the verse to help you select the specific text you want to read. The list of results can also be exported to a memo file for later reference.

Watch video tutorial

Tap and hold tab system (iLumina only) helps the user easily access all the Olive Tree Bible Software items they have installed on their device. Just hold the stylus down on the appropriate category tab and a pop up list will appear to quickly open the desired material on the screen.

Daily Reading schedules allow you to systematically read through the entire Bible over the course of a year and keep track of your progress as you do so.

Bible Maps allow you to see the geographical context of the scriptures as they were at the time the scriptures were written. Two different sets of maps are available and one, Bible Atlas, also includes a hyperlinked version of the King James Version of the Bible which interacts with the Bible Atlas maps.

iLumina mobile gives the user the Life Application Notes, animations of various stories and incidents from the Bible, and video tours of many places of interest in the Holy Land along with expert commentary on these sites.

Original Languages, for those interested or having ability in the original languages of the Bible, Hebrew and Greek, we have the Hebrew Masoretic Text, Greek Septuagint, and Greek New Testament. All are available with parsing and dictionary modules for study of the scripture in the languages it was written in. Great for scholars and students who find themselves on the go and unable to take with them the library of books these represent.

Daily devotionals, ebooks, commentaries and Bible dictionaries are all available as supplemental reading and study materials making the Olive Tree Bible Software an outstanding Bible software application for your PDA.
