Thanks for the files ..

However found that it makes voice command not announce incomming calls and lowered the volume .. so I tried to uninstall .. but that didnt work :( ( thank god for backups )

So Here is what i did ..

I made a new cab .. that just replaces the files needed.
( including the patched CPL )

Install Ver MSVC 1.6.21040.CAB reboot - Then Install Patch! Reboot!
Seems to work well and works for everything I tried .. Give this a try.

Warlock, I tried your cab, and it uninstalled MSVC first, then failed to install the patch due to a signature error.

I've posted all new CABs in the opening post that I believe are much more complete and more compatible with various configurations.

Lot of downloads and no status.

I installed it on a clean Energy ROM last night and it's working great.

Does this announce incoming calls over BT headset?

I never use that feature. But I thought that it worked on most versions once you set it up correctly. In Settings-> Personel -> Voice Command -> Click Phone -> Then Notifications.

No, on the whole it does not work at all on the TP2, something having to do with it having a non MS BT stack.

It is supposed to be fixed with the USC 6.5 Rom, but none of the cooked Roms here based on that that I've tried have it fixed.

* For all installs

--- Soft Reset after above is done.
--- Make your first VC Call on the HandSet (it may be sluggish first time).
--- After that works try blue tooth headset.

The 1.6.28008_Patcher_For_6_1.CAB has NO .CPL File in it (that's the only difference from the 6_5_X CAB).

Both "Patcher" CABs is just copying ALL the files (it does not touch registry or anything).
Voice Command MUST BE OFF when you install it or uninstall it.

When you first install any Voice Command for the first time it is NOT Active. Even after reboot or clicking blue tooth headset. The first time you hold the Send Key down activates it. Once activated you must go into Personal Settings to shut it off. Personal settings may not show up until you Soft Reset.

I don't believe 28008 is any different than 28002, version number changes with every build even though code does not. But the patcher files is much more complete than my original MSVC 1.6.21040_PATCHED_TO_28002.CAB. Since these new cabs are not proven I have not removed the original CAB yet.

I also rezipped all the binaries into a new ZIP. First one I uploaded was missing a couple files.

I could not build a true single CAB because self register was failing on some DLL's. But replacing the DLL's works fine.

I named the Patcher CABs seperate internally so they can be installed and uninstalled independently of Voice Command. But again Voice Command must be off when installing or uninstalling one the "Patcher" CABs. If your Voice Command is Cooked in it should uninstall (untested by me). If your Voice Command was installed and you uninstall the a "Patcher" you will have to also uninstall you base install (you may have to ignore errors, reboot etc., I've done this a bunch of times, no harm done).

I can't promise what will work and not work. Backup/Sync before experimenting.

I've installed, uninstalled, copied, patched, unpatched, deleted a bunch of times and I'm still on the same flash with no harm done.

Regarding Hang Up over Blue Tooth. It is not immediate every time. Older versions of VC would never hangup for me.

See other threads regarding Phone Skin and Data Shutdown. I have not applied these other patches and VC is workking 95% normal. Just slow to disconnect over headset sometimes (much better). Initiating over headset is immediate and I don't have to wait to speak.

Note: For 6.1 Users. These patchers are much more complete. The CPL was removed but it may be other new files are also incompatible. Post your results either way.

Note: I've only tested on 6.5.1 with uncooked Voice Command. But I believe what I describe above will work.

Thanks to Calkulin's Kitchen for these Binaries

Do you know if this will fix the issue with TP2 not announcing incoming calls? Other than that I can use VC to call, I remember it reading a msg or email a while ago but I think that I turned that feature off.

Not sure how broken it was to begin with, but I just tried it on the patched version and it seems to work fine.

Make sure you turn that feature ON, it's off by default.

Settings -> Personal -> Voice Command -> Select Phone
Click Options -> Enabled Announce Incomming Calls.
Click Notifications -> Choose Headset or Handset etc.

Has anyone had success with using these patches on 6.1? I know they work on 6.5.
