Any of the above is fine to call them. I think they all look geeky. I don't want anything hanging off my belt. I want my phone hidden and safe in my pocket (btw I don't keep anything else in my pocket with my phone).

could you please substantiate this a bit more? I would love to confirm this is true, but I am guessing it isn't. I know this isn't definitive, but HTC's spec page for the Diamond says:

HTC ExtUSB™ (11-pin mini-USB 2.0 and audio jack in one)

and we know the Diamond doesn't support TV out.

The Touch Pro's spec page says:

HTC ExtUSB™ (11-pin mini-USB 2.0, audio jack, and TV Out* in one)

but the Touch HD's spec page simply says:

HTC ExtUSB™ (11-pin mini-USB 2.0)

Now maybe they just haven't gotten around to updating it, but why not highlight a feature that is extremely useful to some people?

Anyway, I would just love to know for sure the Touch HD supports TV out.

I guess the question have been answered already. Well like U said, It cannot be definitive even it's on the specs. It really depends on the carrier(if ur looking to buy the U.S. version of HD). But If U r planning to buy the european version, yes it does have TV Out. See, When that device reach the U.S. soil, carriers strip it and do whatever they want with it. Like what happen to the verizon Diamond version. So we cannot really be sure till it's released.

About the discussion. Both U guys got a valid point. At the end of the day, it will come to personal preference. What works for me does not necesarily will work for other people. Like, I do not like the Mogul and the Touch Pro coz It has a KB. Putting a KB in those devices looks retarded to me. When I use it in landscape, The screen is on the side. I like to see the screen on the middle when in landscape mode. I want it like a laptop. The screen is in the middle. a laptop with the screen more to the left or right looks retartded isn't it?
With the HD, I would like to consider a KB(if it's an option) coz the screen would be in the middle. The distance between the edge and the screen from top and buttoms looks the same if not close. This is just my own preference guys. I know U guys have a different perspective.
