LOL BS. Sprint is NOT releasing this or getting it before it releases in Europe. But good try at disinformation anyway. Not to mention that releasing this 1 month after the Diamond and at the same time as the Pro would be one of their worst business decisions ever (if the phone was even made in a CDMA flavor yet, which it is not).

Ya, I wouldn't mind that either. It's supposed to be out in the US in Q1 2009, so maybe someone will make something based on it for Sprint. You do know the Tegra APX is just a chipset, not a phone right? Someone still has to make a phone using the Tegra chipset. The demo they showed at CTIA was just a development platorm they mocked up to demo the chipset functions.

i asked some of the employees at sprint today. suprising they were informative, maybe they are on ppcgeeks somewhere lol. he said the htc hd is still gsm and we def wont see it til next year (if at all).

the diamond has nothing on my touch, ill sacrifice a lil less ram, etc for a microsd slot anyday. so ill be keeping this phone until the HD.

besides, i already have the interface of the viva, what else could i possibly need?

by the time th HD is released in the USA, CDMA, sprint, there will be something FFAARR FAR superior to the HD.

i say, buy the diamond/pro now. i wouldnt hold your breath on the hd being cdma released soon.
i feel like it really is a shame how cdma releases are so far behind gsm. if they both were released at the same time, htc would yield more buyers.. but unfortunately sprint, fcc, and other usa carriers can be at fault to.

Granted the touch HD may only be a "Diamond with a bigger screen", but for me, the Diamond is just "A touch with higher resolution".

You think they could have waited a little bit to release this phone so us Diamond users could enjoy our devices without thinking it obsolete already. Its like HTC says here is our most electronically advanced devices, the Diamond and Pro being released for Sprint and then the same day they are saying look, we already have a better device out.

the touch HD is a nice phone indeed but to even post about it now is rather pointless it may release in dec but that is in europe which means GSM and even after that we have to wait for gsm versions to hit the states because imagine the iphone was 500+ full price and the HD for its specs should be alot more so this wont hit till late next year since cdma just got the diamond and pro and gsm will eventually release the diamond and it would be pointless to replace them anytime soon. If a mod can creat just 1 sticky somewhere for the HD that would be nice to remove the clutter of what seems to me more like advertisement for the HD threads.
