All in all, the Touch had what I was looking for in a phone except I wanted a screen the size of the iPhone. That is the only thing I like about the iPhone. So getting a Diamond would be nice, and an upgrade yes, but the HD is really what I want. Has everything the Diamond and Pro have (minus the keyboard) plus a bunch of nice upgrades. I really can't think of anything else I would want on it (of course they can always get more powerful.) I don't want to spend money on the Diamond now and then on the HD in less than 6 months. I'm guessing it will come out around March on Sprint, since HTC has a track record of releasing their phones in the US ~3 months after Europe. So, if they release the HD for Christmas time, 3 months after that is...

Ok, really, besides the screen and headphone jack, theirs no real difference. At least not for me, I use Orb, so I don't have to worry about the micro SD. How are you gonna use twice the ROM to your advantage?

If you want a better camera, get a nikon.
The adapter works just as good as the 3.5mm jack.
The only thing I will agree with is the microSD slot.

Install more apps to non-removable storage. I need storage for movies, game ROMs, music (uses WAY less battery than streaming), etc. Heck, iGo GPS software takes up 1.2GB by itself. Plus programs run faster from device memory than a card or separate storage.

All that aside, I really fail to see what the argument is. The HD is a better phone in every way. PERIOD. There is nothing that the Diamond or the Pro have that the HD doesn't have (keyboard aside). What is there to discuss except your personal preference of whether to wait or not?

-I don't want to carry a camera with me everywhere AND my phone.

-The adapter does NOT work just as good as the 3.5mm jack as I cannot use a portable charger, external video display, or data transfer with it without using a stupid looking and large dongle.

im not going to argue at all, i think the HD will be the better phone but right now the diamond is the better phone as you can get it now.

If I had a choice today between a Diamond and an HD on Sprint's CDMA network, the choice would be trivial and clear - buy an HD now. But none of us have that choice.

The only things that the Diamond has that the HD doesn't are that it is:
- Manufactured in a CDMA version
- Released in the US
- Available this year

People are comparing this year's released phone with something that doesn't yet exist (a released CDMA HD) and might exist next year. Of course, next year's phone is better!

The choice for me is clear - buy the Diamond now, and the HD (or whatever is better at the time) next year.
