Re: HTC Touch HD 480x800 WVGA! Look out Touch Pro!

hahah, yea but getting caught with a cam in a strip club = thrown out onto your head.
if they incorporated a real flash, not an led hack, the battery would need to be increased in capacity because flash sucks up alot of battery power

once this "HD" is released in Dec i think everyone interested should bombard htc/sprint with emails of interest and hurried release

The Touch HD is about the same size as an iphone but of course the iphone doesn't have nearly the resolution of the Touch HD. That isn't to put down the iphone - the iphone does many things very well. The Touch HD is the absolute best competitor to the iPhone in my opinion.

I'm not sure if people would be offended if I posted a link so I'd suggest you just google the HTC Touch HD and look at this bad boy! Makes the Diamond show its age (even though it hasn't been officially released in the US yet. If the moderators say it is OK - I'll be glad to post some links.
I really wish i say this post a week ago. Just got the diamond, and i was loving it until now. Thank for flushing my day down the toilet

If you really feel that strongly, can't you just return your Diamond and wait until sometime next year to get the HD? What's the problem?

Re: HTC Touch HD 480x800 WVGA! Look out Touch Pro!

Some more leaked specs. Too bad it's only tri-band meaning network on the U.S. cannot use it once it's released on dec. Sorry T-mo and AT&T subscribers. Or will it? Wait till our comrads from XDA get a hold of this bad boy.

Further detailed specs for HTC’s new flagship device have leaked out, and the news (if you are in US or US bound in any case) is not good. The device is only tri-band GSM, without AT&T’s GSM bands, and only dual-band HSDPA, meaning there are no 3G bands for US at all.
The specs are:
Brand: HTC

Besides the lack of US bands, there is one further disappointment, in that the device only supports QVGA video recording, be that at 30fps at least, whereas Nokia smartphones have been doing 30fps in VGA for ages now.
If these specs are accurate its likely US comsumers will not see this device for Christmas, but I expect the device will eventually makeit to US shores, be it some months later.

Re: I wanted the Diamond until the Touch HD- much much better IMHO

I think I may end up getting the diamond since I doubt we'll see the HD on SPrint for another year. I'm going to look for one of those trading sites where you can trade your plan today just to see if I can get a comparable AT&T plan for someone that wants Sprint. If I can I'll probably just trade my plan and get the HD when it comes out in December.
