That's kind of why I haven't got immediate plans to upgrade my Mogul to the Diamond/Pro. I'm waiting for a bigger upgrade. The Diamond/Pro look amazing and are a nice incremental update to my Mogul but it's not like I would be adding new features like GPS or something. I'm holding out for something that's enough of an upgrade to justify spending $300-400. Right now it looks like that won't happen until either an Android phone, a WM7 phone, or a phone using the Tegra chipset out on Sprint. When something like that shows up I think it will be enough to get me to plunk down my money. Besides, I've only had my Mogul for a year. My Treo lasted me 2 easily so I don't want to get caught up with too much gadget-lust to the detriment of my wallet

I feel like it has to *do* something my old device couldn't. The new phones look much nicer than my Mogul and they have more RAM but there aren't any real features that I can point to and justify the cost. I already have GPS, 3G, streaming radio, mp3 player, web browser, work email, games, portable WiFi hotspot, etc.

I think that's one reason Apple holds features back. They sold as many iPhones as they could despite the fact that it was only 2G in this day and age. Then they put out the 3G which had a compelling reason for people to upgrade after a year. I love a pretty device as much as the next person but I can't really get myself to buy something that does nothing new just because it looks nicer and is a more polished device.

Y can't U match the Iphone with 16m. 1 more comment, Ditch the menu buttons and replace it with d-pad which for me is more functional. Or maybe, U have sensitive pad in there huh? Like the diamond with multi-touch function? well, man oh man... Y u make me drool so much HTC. I hate U!!!

and what on earth would they charge for this? having a MUCH larger screen than current offerings, 5mp camera ect there's no way it would be offered for less than $650 before rebates/agreements and such...

Edit: And WHY would you pack in such a nice camera and still have no FLASH?!

About the camera. It's because it's not a digital camera. It's a phone. Camera is just a bonus. I'm happy it's 5MP while touch got 2MP and hardly use it coz I got canon g9.

Pretty much. Sprint is just now getting their new HTC phones so I would imagine ATT is picking this up as a WinMo alternative to the iPhone they already have.
