Get the touch diamond then get the Touch HD when it's released. U dont wanna get left behind while waiting for the Touch HD. Nobody even knows if it will hit the north american teritory. I agree with the lady. The diamond is Hot! I wanna make it sexier by looking for a less capacity batery to make it slimer. o2's version got the slim back cover and it's black. I think that will fit.

ya i agree.. by the time the touch HD comes out (prob 8 months from now) then im sure htc will come out with something even better then what are you gonna hold off again?? Im buying the diamond now and start saving for my next phone in a few months, i've had my htc touch for prob 6 months and now its time for a change...that's just how technology runs these days.

Can't say for sure if I'll wait, switch providers or what. I am getting tired of seeing all the current tech available on GSM 4 months to a year before we see it on CDMA. The only thing holding me back on the jump is my service plan - hard to start over on negotiating a good deal with a new provider.

Re: HTC Touch HD 480x800 WVGA! Look out Touch Pro!
Here's an approximate screen measurement. Note that it is not official.
There is no doubt the main feature of the HTC Touch HD is a big screen in a small form factor. Unfortunately we know who big the device is, but have no idea what the exact size of the screen is. Fortunately a bit of image manipulation will soon reveal all. First we perspective-correct and crop the best front-on picture. http://wmpoweruser.com/wp-content/up...9/touchhd5.jpg Then we resize the picture so it is calibrated to the mm ruler, so the known width of 63mm is also 63mm on the ruler. http://wmpoweruser.com/wp-content/up...9/touchhd4.jpg We then use this calibrated picture to measure the screen size. The screen is 53mm wide… http://wmpoweruser.com/wp-content/up...9/touchhd6.jpg … and 85mm long. http://wmpoweruser.com/wp-content/up...9/touchhd7.jpg Using a similarly calibrated inch rule, we can easily see the screen is around 3.8 inches diagonal, but not 3.5 or 4. http://wmpoweruser.com/wp-content/up...9/touchhd8.jpg So there we have it - 3.8 inches - much bigger than the iPhone 3G but in a smaller package. Congrats HTC. |

Re: HTC Touch HD 480x800 WVGA! Look out Touch Pro!
Here's what really sucks about this phone. I have the touch now and was about to show off the touch hd at work and show someone how pissed off this phone looked and how I was going to put off getting the diamond and wait for the HD when some careless F@#K walked by and bumped me and my touch fell into water and now seems screwed up. So I either replace with the touch or get the diamond. I'm not sure I can wait it out with another touch so now I may be stuck with the Diamond! :violent2:
