Yes, it's commonly known that the SDHC spec will go up to 32GB, but that doesn't guarantee that the Titan will; though we can hope so. HTC has stated they've only been able to test 8GB due to nothing higher existing.

Are you saying that you know the Titan will support 32GB? If so, could you be so kind as to provide a link?

Yes, SDHC goes to 32GB. Supporting SDHC means supporting 32GB.

http://www.wisegeek.com/what-are-sdhc-cards.htm

Snipet taken from article

"Secure Digital was forced to create a new specification for SDHC cards when the previous specification topped out at a capacity of 2GB. This occurred previously when SD cards hit the 512MB wall. The new 2.00 specification should last a bit longer, as it allows SDHC cards to reach a maximum capacity of 32GB. Secure Digital is so-named because of its ability to protect copyright content through digital rights management or DRM. Because of this, it is a favored flash memory format in the audiovisual industry."

Taken from another site
SDHC is the designation for any SD or SD-based card that is larger than 2 GB and adheres to the new SD 2.00 specification required for cards and hosts to support 4 GB to 32 GB capacities.

Ahhh ... an idealist, in a world of compromisers! ;=)

A world in which all manufacturers intrepreted and adhered to 'standards' equally would be a cool place to consumers of digital toys.

My bad thought u wanted link to sd specs.. and regarding your questing, highest capcity micro sd card now is 8gb so there is still a way to go for a 32gb micro sd cards. Don't think there will be a link to your question.

So all I can suggest to you is to upgrade to the newest ROM and your card should work. I had the exact same issue on my Apache (only seeing 1.7 of the card) using older SDHC drivers--which had worked fine for a 4GB SDHC card. So I think perhaps that older version sdmemory just isn't equipped to properly handle the a 6GB card--even though it can see it.

But if you just upgrade your ROM--either to the official Sprint upgrade (you can fix the keyboard issue now) or to the Alltel WM6 upgrade (would need to modify your bootloader first) then you can fully use your 6GB card.
Follow-up...Upgraded the ROM - 6GB card still seen as 1.7GB. Reinstalled the sdmemory and sdbus dll's as they are not in the new Sprint ROM - no change. Stopped by an Alltel store and put the card into their display 6800 which was running WM5 - recognized the full card. The sales rep had not yet seen a 6GB card and he pulled out his personal 6800 (running WM6 same ROM as yours) - recognized the full card also. Obviously some other differences in the Alltel ROM. Could you post the Alltel registry settings for SDHC to compare with those in the Srpint registry.

I have a 4gb and it works fine. Are there 8GB MicroSD out there? I really want one.

dtndvm, you didn't order your card off Ebay, did you? Many sellers there are notorious for selling fake cards relabeled and programed to report higher capacity. I got burned with a 512mb labeled mmc that was a true 256mb card, even though it reported around 500MB free it wouldn't write above 220 or so.

Any way to hook your card up to a pc and check it with partition magic? it should show the real available space, and not the spoofable space listed in windows explorer.

No, PC recognizes full card and has no problem reading/writing to it. I filled it up with over 5gb of data on my PC just to test it. Also, it's been recognized on 2 different Alltel 6800's (one WM5 & one WM6) for its full capacity, but I didn't have a chance to play around with it on those devices as the store was closing. Checked it on one other Mogul at a Sprint store and it also only saw a 1.7GB card. I have checked it on my PC with Cute Partition Manager and it saw the full size. I even partitioned it into 2 and 4GB partitions, which my PC was happy with, but my Mogul still could only see 1.7GB of the card. I have since reformatted it back to its full size and it makes a great jump drive. I'd love to find someone close with a Mogul running the Alltel ROM to test it on before I put that ROM on my device as I just upgraded my Sprint ROM and reinstalled everything.
