6800 right light on always

For some reason, starting last night, my Verizon 6800 had top right light turn on, and stay on. It was amber. I tried resetting the phone, no luck. I pulled the battery, and as soon as I plugged the battery in, the light came on. (phone was off). I plugged the phone into a charger (usb/laptop and wall) and the light turned red. I left it on overnight to charge anyway. Every few seconds, I saw a faint green light blink, as per normal behavior. The light is now yellowish and blinking green per the status light. I know when I call Verizon, they'll have no answers. So any suggestions.

Re: 6800 right light on always

Orange Solid = Phone Charging but not full
Orange Blink = Overheating and I think notification for text and voicemail
Red Solid = Something is attempting to charging but not charging
Red Blink = Low battery
Greenish On = Phone is done charging
Green Blink = Radio Check
Blue = Obviously bluetooth

I think that pretty much covers the LED indicators.

If you need more you can try out nueLED and see if in the documentation it mentions others..as it is a tool that lets you control the LED indicators.

Re: 6800 right light on always

My phone is unplugged with a solid green. If I pull the battery, and put it back in, (not turned on), the light comes on immediately.

Re: 6800 right light on always

Does it give battery low notification when the battery is low? (the red blinking)

Also, do you have a spare battery to test? it may just be the battery.

Re: 6800 right light on always

Sadly, no spare battery to test. I may try to head over to a vzw store and see if they have one. (doubtful). I may try to order one off ebay if I don't get any answers.
I was hoping someone had experienced this before and knew before I went crazy sorting it out.

Re: 6800 right light on always

Just call verizon you will probably get a free replacement if you have insurance. And if you bought the phone within a year a free battery is possible.

Re: 6800 right light on always

Why would you cancel insurance. It provides a free replacement forever and if no replacements are available you get upgraded.

Re: 6800 right light on always

I was overpaying for a crap phone. Obviously I just learned my lesson. But the Verizon rep agreed to send me a replacement battery. I'm going to call back and see if I can get them to undo the insurance removal.

I wouldn't want an upgraded device, as they all require data plans, which I don't want.
Being that this was my 3rd replacement, the guy saw its only been a few months and had sympathy on me. I had to slightly argue that the 'refurb' phone could have damaged my battery, but he agreed and sent it right out.
