CorePlayer Mobile & TCPMP

CorePlayer Mobile has support for the h.264 video codec (which is used by Apple for iTunes and hardware). Commercial codecs require a licensing fee. That is why CorePlayer costs money and TCPMP is free.

1. Use AnyDVD to break the encryption on your DVD.
2. Use Handbrake to convert the DVD to iPod low res video.
3. Import the resulting file into iTunes or copy to your device.
Note: I do this only with DVDs I own (fair use and all) and I never share my files (screw you MPAA).

Maybe it's just me, but I Use WMP For MP3's Only.. and TCPMP For Everything else.
TCPMP is nothing short of fully functional and fully stable for me. I tried Coreplayer for a couple of weeks and then got rid of it. It was slow on the GUI and hung many times playing diff types of videos. I'll stick with the not as pretty TCPMP.

TCPMP = The Core Pocket Media Player.

Think of TCPMP as a beta "prequel" to CorePlayer. TCPMP evolved through a number of betas and once refined was given a shiny new GUI and released for sale as CorePlayer.

i was trying to ask can u run TCPMP together with COREPLAYER on the 6800? i saw a video on youtube with a guy using COREPLAYER to stream live radio stations from shoutcast.com but i use TCPMP for my youtube any suggestions?

never mind it shoutcast work on my tcpmp as well

well the main reason you want to keep TCPMP would be the AC3 codec. If you do not wacth videos with AC3 sound, than take the CorePlayer (version 1.2.6 at least) it wil do as well as the TCPMP.
now there are a lot of differences between them but it is on you to decide.
let resume by it depends on what you use your player for and on what you expect from it. than compare and you'll have your ideal player
