Maybe Sprint is going to hold it off until '08 when Rev A comes out. Of course, given Sprint's track record with the 6600 and EVDO, I'm not holding my breath for any sort of update from them.
Custom roms will probably be our best bet. |

The word I got from "sources" is there won't be a Rev.A update untill spring 2008....

The word I got from Sprint (three different reps) is that Rev A is already out, and most of the towers in populated areas are already upgraded. One guy also said my phone should upgrade automatically since there is Rev A speed in my area...but I kinda lol'ed at that.

The 6800 was supposed to be released for verizon in ealy oct. they took longer than sprint to release it because of the afore mentioned problems. so when they elease it, would that mean tbat sprint would have an update for it?

That's the original press release from 2 years ago.
That facts are that, yes, Rev.A should be almost completely progogated throughout the Sprint network....but the Mogul isn't slated for the update until next Spring. There are other devices that will be Rev.A right out of the box....namely the PCMCIA cards. |

I remember all the suckers claiming September firmware updates to fix all of the bugs. People forget that HTC doesn't support any of their phones and Sprint couldn't care less either. They can lay the blame at the feet of HTC and MS. Sprint blatantly lied to customers about the features included with the phone and people still gave them their money.

We're most certainly NOT SOL - just look at what's happened to the 6700. (And you're right, HTC & Sprint did NOT support it). |
