PPCGeeks - sprint mms question

I downloaded the sprint mms cab from one of the forums at xda that was like a year old.
I tried testing it out and it worked.

I was just wondering if that cost money for me? I do not have a data connection (vision/modem is disabled in advanced configuration). I had wifi turned on, on my sprint mogul. Did the wifi on make a difference?

EDIT: I should add that I did these steps in PDAPhoneJunkie's thread (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=28641).
The version of the mms from the sprint mms cab says "MMS Composer Version 3.0.6.22" and it is by ArcSoft.
