xv6800 in Hand

Folks...I just had the opportunity to handle a xv6800 *Verizon branded* for 24 hours. My
sister just got a Sprint Mogal and I was under the impression that Verizon's 6800 would
have an identical form factor.

I was wrong. This is what the phone actually looks like:

FYI, I also used Verizon's upcoming S720 *Libra* for a few hours. That is a very impressive
phone. Unfortuantely, I'm hooked on the WM6 Pro OS as opposed to the S720's non-touch
WM6 Standard OS the S720 sports. But honestly, I thought long and hard as to which
phone I'll order once they both start shipping offically.

How much RAM did the xv6800 have? It was said to have 96mb long ago, but my guess is 64mb just like the Sprint, Bellsouth and Alltel versions.

Sweet should be easy to hack over to CricKet. I dont like it as much as i do my sprint mogul tho.

Looks like Sprint is getting payback for Verizon having the sleek black 6700 and sticking us with the ugly silver one.

Just kidding, just happy Verizon is actually getting close to release.

Looks like they opted for the same Mogul Bell Canada chose. From that picture it seems HTC hasn't seen fit to upgrade the useless in outdoor daylight LCD either. I guess the fact it's just about everyone's major complaint isn't enough

Sweet. Looks awesome! A lot of you are dogging it, but I love the flat buttons ont the face. One of my complaints during the test drive of the mogul were that the Windows/OK and soft keys were way too small and bunched together. When I went to hit one of the soft keys I would usually end up hitting the send/end or the key below it as well. This is a definite improvement, even though it doesn't look as cool.

Guess I'm happy I got the Sprint 6800 for work and the VZW 6700 for home... from the looks of the screenshots I think I'll keep it that way.

Also, from the device information screenshot, the speed is only 384 Mhz. It shows the same processor as my Alltel 6800, but mine shows 400 Mhz. Does this value change as the load on the device changes; similar to how PCs will show different speeds in System Properties?
