Alltel 6800 going black screen

I have a similar problem with my Verizon XV6800...but I think mine is a little weirder (if that's a word) My screen will go hay wire, and start doing funky stuff...going in and out, fading out, half of the screen goes black...etc. I've attached some pics of it throwing one of it's tantrums (sorry so blurry). The only apps I have installed are SBP Moble shell, SBP pocket plus, SBP time, SBP weather and Rescoe Explorer. All of these have been installed for a while, and worked with no problem. My problem started happening about 3 weeks ago. It used to happen every couple of days or so, but now it's everyday. Sometimes, the screen goes black, and I have to do a soft reset to get the phone back on (useable). Sometimes, it works fine, but other times, it's a pain in the....you know what.

If I take it back to verizon, will they say the "apps" caused the problems? Or should I just uninstall them, THEN take it back? Any help or advice would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!!

i would do a hard reset after full backup and see if you still have the issue,
