So apparently they replaced the MDN string with the hmac string... Interesting... I wonder...

I would love to go through a 6800 for a little while and copy the program files off of it for the Arcsoft program...

I've looked under Program Files, and there's no Arcsoft directory...

If you can give me a few filenames that the Arcsoft program uses, I can search through the Windows directory... maybe they've tied it into there...

EDIT: I've found some files that do mention Arcsoft under the \Windows folder...

MMS Composer.htm
MMSCtxMenuPlugin.dll
MMSForm.dll
MMSTemplates0409.inf
mmstool.dll
MMSTransport.dll

I have some of those same files on mine. I wonder if you were to zip them up, and let me d/l them, if I could replace them, and the do a soft reset, and be able to start back up with the new version??

lennysh 09-14-2007 12:03 PM

There is also a file on mine in the windows folder called ArcMMS.dll... So if you do a zip, then please include this one...

lennysh 09-14-2007 12:06 PM

Also, in the registry, HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\MsgTypes\IPM\ there are four thing's in there that I would like to see the settings for. On mine, there's FLIX, MMS, MMS1, and PIX. Anything under the IPM that has anything to do with the dll files you posted or the ArcMMS.dll I would like to see. So I can make sure all that is identical on mine if I do decide to import your files into my 6700..

lennysh 09-14-2007 12:09 PM

Also, do you have a folder called AppMgr under Windows? I have an ArcSoft folder in that folder... Might not be anything but like a temp directory, but I don't want to miss anything... There is a file in there called 800A.tmp... that is the uninstall settings... So we would need this to do a cab later on...

EDIT: Also, under HKLM\Software\OEM\3rdVersion\mHub What do you have for the value of that string? Mine is Generic_6_0_2_x_8_CDMA_noMMS So I wonder if that noMMS has a purpose? Or if it's just a description...

EDIT 2: under OEM\MASD there is a string called MMS... What do you have as the value for that?

haha, holy cow... I'm at lunch at the moment, but I'll provide that info when I get back to my desk.

I do know there isn't an Arcsoft directory under AppMgr.

lol... sorry for all the needed information, but I'm just ready to solve this problem. Just wish I had a 6800 to play with for a day. By the time I got through with it, my 6700 would have everything the 6800 does in relation to MMS...
