Gmail - emails automatically gets deleted?

I setup my gmail account on my mogul.
Everytime i get a new email, it gets deleted automatically even if i don't read it. I see on my new email count is 1. Then a little while later, it goes to 0. I check and the new mail is not on my phone.
I check on my computer (gmail.com) and the new emails are still there, just not on my phone.
If i read the email once i get it, i see it on the phone, but then it goes away on my phone but still exists on the server.
weird.
anyone else experience this? how can i fix it?
