does the alltel wm5 have java? sounds like it doesn't, might have to wait for a wm6 release and hope it's in there....

you can however run opera mobile, which is a windows mobile native app (not java) - I'd rather run that anyways since it makes more sense to have a browser written directly for windows mobile not a generic java app ;)

Alltel 6800 with WM6 and it's still not working. I've researched but can't seem to find the answer. Any help would be appreciated.

go into java and have it search for the jad file that you downloaded. then let it install and run it from that menu

Thanks. I don't believe that WM6 for the Alltel PPC doesn't have java. How would I find that?

It doesn't. Search for Emertec JBed -- it's been posted here a few times. Once you install that you'll be able to run Java apps nicely. I use it to run Opera Mini.

I'll never understand why people are so gungho about Opera Mini... you've got a FULL HTML browser on the phone and the option to get a few others... why use a program that doesn't run natively???
