Re: Green Phone Button Stopped Working

I have the bone stock 6.0 rom on my Sprint Mogul and my green button stopped working about a week ago also.
My fix was to buy a new phone :)

Re: Green Phone Button Stopped Working

I went to the HTC site and loaded the software, ROM V 3.56.651.0. My green button still does not work. So this appears to be a hardware issue... how or what do I do to make my phone dial, manually i.e. a new number not in the phone book, what do I do to 'press' the call-out button?

My dialer has a touch screen send button. Then just go programs phone for the dialer.

sounds good. I assume that includes both buttons and the multi-function key? Have you received it yet, and how is the quality? Did you ever consider cleaning the original contacts once you had the new ones in-hand, or wasn't that possible. I'm certainly not afraid to open it up, but how do you get to it.

If you've got WM6.5, this dialer was recently linked by Mattsm and I agree with him and others that it's the best dialer I've seen.

I mapped the Voice Commander key to "Phone" when my green button went bad. But recently the green button seems more successful, but not 100%. It used to be 20% of the time it worked, now it feels like 70%. Yeah, that's non-scientific...

can you please tell me how to load this dialer, or where the files go. There is one cab file and two others that I don't know what to do with. Thanks

When I say 'corrupting' it could be anything from your registry to Winmo to hardware related. All are extremely common. Figuring out which one it is, is time consuming and wasteful. They all 3 have the same required outcome - getting a new mogul.

Now, you CAN just use your dialer to make calls, but getting to the dialer becomes a constant pain. Usually you just press the green button to get to the dialer...but in your case, you cant. You will always have to click the application to run it just to make a call.

IMHO - go to sprint, and get a new phone on order.

Re: Green Phone Button Stopped Working

I am having problems with all of the hard keys on the front of my xv6800 not working - also camera, comm manager, ok, and voice command buttons on side of case all not working. Basically only the screen on/off - power button is working. All the buttons back light though

left/right soft buttons work for a hard reset
and I can get it into boot loader using camera/power combo

I have tried going back to the stock 6.1 rom (MR1 and MR2) but still can't get them working.

tried a couple of hard resets as well.

phone is way past replacement.

Any ideas?

where can I find 6.0 stock rom?

bump - I really need some help if possible.

I just re-locked and flashed the vzw stock rom and still not getting the buttons working correctly...

it seems to be a software issue - any help is greatly appreciated.
