after you've copied/cut your ringtone use file explorer to open your windows folder and then paste it in there

Thats the problem I'm having, I want a ringtone that will go on until I wake up but to stop when i answer the text... :-/

wont happen, you need to just make a shorter ringtone. although I am surprised no one has written a program to just handle the sms ring tone and solve that issue.
