Lets not confuse "best looking" with "best".

Apple products in general tend to be about style , usually forsaking other aspects like price, performance, etc.

I originally posted this looking to get a hold of an alternative web browser. By no means do I want an iphone. I think is aesthetically pleasing and the gui is great however, my mogul is by far the most flexible tool i've seen in the realm of phones sold within the US. I enjoyed the Google app. that's why I posted the request for a better internet browser. I will try both opera and piscel (given I'm able to get my hands on the either...seems like top secret info for Picsel).

All said, we are all in the same boat Mogul users and I'm sure if one WANTED an iphone then we would have the means to procure it.

Thanks for your help so far!

I found the application (Picsel); however after installing it. I get error 67 in trying to connect using EV (Error code 1012 could not prepare vision services)

You have to start a data connection before you attempt to open or browse the web on Picsel. Kind of a pain, but not that bad since that is really the only big issue with the browser (considering it was developed for Samsung phones only I believe).

Unfortunately, this has caused problems with all applications using the internet. I have posted the link to the cab file. It downloads directly to your temp folder.

Warning, if you're not a savvy user it will do the same thing it did to me (probably deleted some essential file Sprint uses to within the connection validation). Maybe try installing it to your storage card.

I will have to back up and do a hard reboot unless i get an answer of this forum (sprint is clueless.)

Then get the IPhone, If you don't like what there is to offer and think the

Dont moan to us that you don't like what is outthere if you want someting

That's a pretty naive comment... as a mogul owner it's pretty obvious that I chose it over the already released iphone.

I am just saying, some things ARE better on the iphone, but that doesnt mean I want one. I commented that I wished WM apps such as the browser were as polished as some as the iphone apps. The reverse is true as well. You "calling me out" and telling me to shut up and keep quiet is pretty immature. I dont see where I was an apple iphone fanboy anywhere. I was simply stating the obvious...

It seems like a lot of you guys are a little too defensive of WM. While I appreciate the VAST amount of customization, you cannot tell me that the thing is perfect! There are many issues with both phones, and I for one prefer the WM experience. Fortunately for us, with so many developers, we do have a good chance of getting a better browser in time. However, the iphone is very innovative and does alot very easily. You guys simply bashing it for what it is seems dumb. I own ZERO apple products, but I always give credit where credit is due. The iphone is pretty slick, bottom line.

The ITask interface for the Mogul is pretty slick.

If you like the IPhone interface it works pretty well.

My major gripe is that it needs to be a bit simpler to configure which apps are opened and which icons are used, perhaps a GUI config.

SO TRUE!!!

Do i want my laptop to be in a sexy thin little brushed aluminum case? YES PLEASE. But I hate apple software and third party software does NOT work well with apple, it just doesn't. Some does, but thats ll i hear from serious coputer users about macs.

Same goes with PPC Phones. The iPhone looks and works AMAZING. But I don't really want to look at a stupid clownfish all day. And I want my phone to work the way I want it to.

All have no fear. Microsoft will catch up, and trust me, it will be worth the wait.

Re: iphone web browser

browserwise you can also try the new netfront. its not a full release yet. got it off their website. i really like it, little simpler than picsel. pretty fast. good zoom and all. still lacks a few things, like flash, but like i said, it's not a full release yet.

download the v3.5 concept version.
