Never had that error. I get the cannot connect error a lot, but reloading usually takes care of it. Are you using WiFi or evdo. I have never tested on Wifi.

All you need for now.

Most people dont know but you have to have Java or Emertec Java installed. Otherwise the .jar files & such associates with opera will do nothing on your device. Once you download Java then download & install Opera 9.3 through Java...

I think i may only be installing a skin. When i install the file posted before, by darkness231, the filename is "opera9_331_qvgaskin.cab" might i need a different .cab?

No its the full program. The original program was designed to run in VGA mode. Someone over at XDA resized all the files to work with our QVGA devices and that is why the file is named so. This is that cab file from my phone that I uploaded so I know its the correct one.

If you are using the OEM ROM it should have Java installed. Although it is not necessary for this application. I don't believe that Opera 8.45 is not a Java based application

Happened to me to. You have to open up an internet connection first...so start pie or something then go into it...should work for ya....dunno why it can't start an internet connection itself.
