Re: Looking for browser to mimic PC browser (really)
Well I haven't done so myself, but I believe you can set up your VX6800 to connect to and download from the exchange server through outlook mobile. I know at least there is an option for it in the kitchen's OEMizer, so you may want to investigate that.
As far as browsers go, try Opera mobile and/or Opera mini. The new Opera mobile seems to take up quite a bit of memory while running though, and has caused me memory issues on my Titan. Hopefully you'll have better luck. One other option that I used to use some time ago is there's a registry hack for IE mobile to identify itself as IE6. I think programs like Schapps Advanced Config tool have the option to change it for you. I'd find the exact program/reg key for you, but I'm traveling on business and don't have all my files easily availible. Hope it helps!

Thanks for all the ideas... I'll start digging around and see what I can find. Any other suggestions are appreciated (aside from nailing our tech folks to a board and dipping them in shark water).

Anyone have a .CAB file for Opera-mini? I don't have anything to open the .jar or .jad files that are on the website....

Re: Looking for browser to mimic PC browser (really)
The IE Mobile in Windows Mobile 6.5 has a desktop browser mode. It takes a little to render things, but it hasn't really given me a whole lot of trouble. I've tried Iris browser but it constantly crashes on me so I can't give you a review of it.

Re: Looking for browser to mimic PC browser (really)
Best browser I've ever used on my Titan is the skyfire browser. Just like a browser on PC, and it's a LOT faster than all the Opera browsers I've used put together.
http://get.skyfire.com/ Best of all, it's FREE! Oh, and you can sync your facebook and other accounts with your start page, I just open it up and I get updates from different rss feeds, facebook, and twitter. Last edited by jfuginay; 05-27-2009 at 10:31 PM. |

It isn't, but that doesn't mean you can't flash to it. Though if it's your work phone I think your employer might frown upon flashing the phone. I reinstalled the Iris browser today, and it was a fairly nice browsing experience. I still prefer Skyfire or Internet Explorer Mobile, but if those two aren't an option for you then I'd say take ATT-Half's suggestion.
