No way to do it with the hard keyboard?

Give Control Key Pro a try to see if it serves your needs. I don't use it, but it does do cut & paste from the hard keyboard.

My experience has been, that if the tap and hold won't work for pasting, then neither will the soft keyboard.

I wish there were a registry setting that would allow c/p all over the PPC..

Actually, the ctrl + C or V works all the time if you use the soft keyboard.

Not true, is seems that when a text box is set to get a password and displays "*" instead of the characters typed, the soft keyboard ctrl + C doesn't work...

That is a technicality considering that doesn't work on password fields in ANY windows OS by design if they use the "*" I know there may be some times when there is an exception to this also, but copy and paste of a password field is clearly a different animal.

the soft keyboard crtl+V trick is awesome when you are trying to make the mogul do stuff it wasnt "supposed" to do. :D

There are so many things that are "so close" on this phone. Like no CTRL hard key for Cut/Copy/Paste and Select All. And wouldn't it be nice if Windows+E went to file explorer? Or if Windows+D took you to Desktop or should I say Today screen.

Well at least it DOES HAVE a Copy/Paste. It could be worse, you could have an iphone. \:D/

There is a hardkey for the start menu if you hit that then OK (Today should be highlighted already) that will take you to the today screen (essentially Windows, OK). Also, there is a shortcut to the file explorer. it's fn [->] (right arrow)

One solution that worked really nicely for me is to re-map the left and right softkeys so that when I press and hold them they do cut/paste...

I'm using ae button plus to do this..

Also - the pcm keyboard does this - but I can't get it to work... This keyboard is a *must-have* on these phones.. (I'm getting faster on it then the hardware keyboard..)

Just hold down the enter key on this keyboard to get the cut/paste menu.
