~~~NEED HELP~~~ Advanced Tech. Plz
I have Resco Radio installed on my phone and I would like to listen to the music from my phone (Mogul 6800) to my headunit in my car Pioneer AVIC-N3 http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...503034,00.html so I decided to go to Radio Shack and purchase this 1/8" to 3/32 adapter http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...tId=2062471&cp and of course using the 2.5mm headset adapter the phone came with. I have this and used it to plug the stereo cable into http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...492523,00.html , initially for my ipod to watch videos on the navi screen but works just as well. MY PROBLEM I am running into is, is plays the music fine (I can hear it) but w/ the headunit volume turned ALL the way and the phone volume turned ALL the way up, it is not NEARLY as loud as I would like it to be. VERY low in volume. I don't know if there is a program I can download for a volume booster, or a registry tweak. Let me know opinions, etc. THNX
are you playing back songs in windows media player? if so make sure the volume on the media player is turned up to 100%, the default is around 70% and has nothing to do with your earpiece volume on your phone.
also, there are much better adaptors to use. i would try to use as few pieces as possible so get an adaptor that lets you plug standard headphone size into your phone. these adaptors are discussed many times on this board. i had a radio shack adaptor like you did initially and the quality with the new adaptor is much better, plus only one wire to plug into now. |
i got my 2.5 to 3.5 adapter at radio shack, and one guy there said that they had 2 different kinds of these adapters, one supports a mic for phones. i bought the one he said was for phones (i think it was more expensive so who knows if he was just trying to sell me) but I have perfect volume.
Radio shack headset adapters
The mogul must have the four band jack adapter that includes the mic. If you try to use a three band stereo headset adapter you will only get mono sound on the right channel. Radio shack sells the correct adapter with their cell phone accessories. It is a y-dongle. The other straight-thru hard shell adapter will not work. Hope this helps.
