best GPS map navigation ?
I know the Titan doesn't have GPS, so how do these programs (like TomTom) work?
also, can someone recommend the best one (price doesn't matter) |
You need an external GPS to actively get your location and then matching software to display it.
For casual navigation purposes, applications like Google Maps (available as a download for Windows Mobile) are quite nice - and completely free. Google Maps can even get your location from a GPS device (or at least claims it can). However, Google Maps requires you be online to display map data. |
i have a qstarz bt-818. good battery life, quick fix times, was $70 inc. shipping. i use tomtom6. works great!

I use TomTom 6 with a Pharos iGPS bluetooth gps unit. I have tried many gps solutions available for the ppc, but TomTom seems to have the easiest to use interface. I use TomTom daily all over the US and have only found a few problem roads, and the accuracy is wonderful.

I recently bought tom tom navigator 5 and it came w/ a bluetooth gps. It worked great the first few days, but now i am experiencing problems with it pairing with my phone. Sometimes it does so quickly but most of the time it takes a looooooooong time, upwards to 5-10 minutes. Am i doing something wrong? I am new to bluetooth. Is there something I need to do manually to get my two devices to pair up quickly? Please help!
