I've always like Agile Messenger. The newest version is over $40 though. I used OctroTalk for awhile and enjoyed it. I've also seen a lot of people using Palringo(sp?) but haven't tried it yet myself.

What protocol are you looking for? With AIM, you can setup IM forwarding to your cell phone. Pair that with the threaded SMS and it works pretty well. Of course it uses SMS, but if you have unlimited text then you are good.

So basically I have to open Aim on my home desktop and it fowards every aim message to my phone? When i respond to them, it will be through txt?

So i don't get to see my buddy list then?

I go back and forth between IM+ and Octro. Octro seems to work the best so far as IM+ drops the connection and doesn't reconnect.

I like Agile as well, but didn't want to spend $45 to register it. I'm using IM+ for now.
