wifi switch no longer works... software fix to turn wifi on and off? - Page 2

i had this problem, came stock with a my 2nd refurb. hardware switch did nothing and could find no software to override the hardware. ended up taking it in to repair center and sprint told me it was a factory defect. gave me another refurb. good luck

Based on the below post, does no2chem's software version of the hardware switch work regardless of the wifi switch? I'm not sure what spb phone suite is

yes, no2chem found a way to redirect the driver and use that switch for anything. FYI it defaults to the switch controlling ring/vibrate so off=vib in settings there is a "hardware switch" control panel. just disable the switch there.

once your running a rom with that included, then pretty much any wifi toggle would work, comm mgr, or my fav quickmenu 2.8

I think no2chem is your best bet. If you get to the point you just need to enable and disable (once the switch is on or byp*****) quickmenu (free) has that ability...

actually what i am thinking is that you needed better luck that the switch broke while it was on and it stays on. not that it broke and dont work so you can't turn it on.

Return it as defective in under 1 year or try advanced exchange if you use sprint.
