How do i improve window media on a XV6900

i am a very novice mobile user and am always ready to learn new things on how to improve my phone. Specificaly right now i would like to improve video play back. Most of the videos i play just skip i guess you would call it. Only get to see parts of video sound seem to work good. Can anyone help me, thanks.
