Instead of paying for a TV Tuner to use with orb, your money would be better spent buying a slingbox. Better quality, and less hassle to setup. You can still use ORB for your music/media alongside your slingbox for the TV.

MobiTV is not as good as PQ Mobile TV...I just tried out Orb the other day. It's streaming capability is really determined also by the PC that you have Orb installed on. My Desktop that's a 2.4Ghz with 512MB was running terribly slow. But my laptop with dual core and 1GB ram was super fast and streaming was very good.

Everyone should note whether evdo is available in their area. Would make a big difference I would think on any of these options.

Thats what I was going to say, I have a nice PC with 2GB Ram, and nice graphics card and processor, and I can watch a whole movie of my pc on my PPC without it chopping, as long as I'm EVDO.

This may be a dumb question to some....but do u need any additional hardware to use slingbox mobile (not sure if thats the right name, basically trying to run slingbox on my 6800) or once u download the software you will be good to go? I have used orb in the past and was pretty happy with it but keep hearing people talking great things bout slingbox and was thinking of giving it a try...thanks for ur help

I'm really disappointed how poorly Orb runs for streaming TV off my computers. It's great for audio and video files, but TV through my tuner really chokes. I'm waiting until I can find a good deal on a Slingbox.
