On Demand....

Okay, so I installed OnDemand from the program menu. Once installed, it opened up, so I messed with it for a little bit.

Anyway, after closing the program, I can't find it again. ANYWHERE!

It's not in the Start Menu, not in Programs, not on Storage Card and not in Java... Anyone know where this goes after installation?!

It's not in ProgramFiles/Handmark/OnDemand?

Is it worth the ordeal to setup, download and install?

Touche' 07-16-2007 02:36 AM

Yeah, I found it there just a little while ago. Why isn't it in the programs menu? So, I'll have to use file explorer every time I want to use it?!

Has anyone been able to get the Palm OS version of OnDemand to run via StyleTap? It is so much better than the WM version and doesn't require CF.

I tried to install it but it crahsed on the initial setup.

Once the program is installed, the executable can be found at \Program Files\Handmark\OnDemand\PageOne.exe

If the shortcut is missing, just create a new one pointing to this executable.

As said in the post above me.... just copy the .exe file and paste it in the startmenu/programs or in the start menu. works for me.

No. It's nothing special, costs $/month. If it provided A-GPS functionality for mapping, etc, then would be worth it. Not worth paying for, IMO.

I found the PalmOS version invaluable for Sports mostly because it tracked a team's entire schedule as well as weekly results and downloaded the box score and AP News story for each game.

The WM version is similar, but it doesn't download the stories related to each game automatically - you have to click a link for each story. It would still be nice to have this functionality without needing CF.

I am not paying for it yet... I think only some of the stuff you have to pay for, it's like a Deluxe version or something. I could be wrong. I used to have it along time ago on my 6600 and then didn't use it much. But I think this version is much better, and quite useful if you don't have a ton of time to surt around on the web for info. I will see what it costs when the 'trial' if this is what it is, runs out... and decide.
But why not try it for a bit and see?
Buying movie tix is real easy through it..... works great... I have done it like 5 times in the last couple weeks.
