Thank you for the reply, and I have seen the comments about going back to an official ROM before having any service performed by Sprint as well. Forgive me if I am asking an obvious question but is there an established method to flash back to the 2.08 xxx version if needed? I do Have SPB Backup and I read an earlier post that doing a full restore with that program can get you back.

Actually, that's kinda wrong.

There isn't a way to flash back the old ROM just yet. And perfroming a restore from a previous backup won't really bring you back to the old ROM. What the other posters meant, is that if you performed a full backup some of the ROM files will be overwritten with the older ROM files.

However, without flashing, after performing a restore and then a hard reset you will still be brought back to the new ROM.

I can confirm, however, that after flashing back to a backup made by SPB under the old ROM version does not fix the keyboard issue-- it must be something at a lower level than just OS files and Registry.

I was on the phone with a tech at Sprint's PDA department last night, and after telling me that they have done the updates on their own phones and haven't seen the issue, I was able to get him to confirm his ROM version as the old one, at which point he got a friend's Mogul which had been flashed and tested it and confirmed the issue along with a few other techs that were there.

Apparently nobody had called in (at least to the american PDA support department) about the issue yet, so I had an extremely hard time convincing him that it existed in every phone that gets flashed with it... But it seems like it is confirmed with their department now, and he said they'll be bringing it up to work on it. He sent me a replacement phone, because I want a working keyboard, and that'd be the fastest way until they get a flasher to restore it back to the original ROM. They seem like they are on top of that issue at least, though...

Since there is no official word on what was updated with this new ROM, just a bunch of people saying stuff does, doesnt work same/better for them, lets just say it only gives you the sprint music store, is it really worth the upgrade for that?

Depends if you use it or not. I like to stay up to date becuase if you have an issue and call in, the first thing they'll blame it on is on you not having the latest updates.

Same as with PC games support... they always blame the darn video card drivers, even when they have nothing to do the issue.

did the update and now insted of having the icon for stereo bluetooth with my jabra headphones there is nothing there and also not able to get any audio from headset. i played with the profile disabling handsfree and able to audio though it but its hardly what it was before considering it should be stereo it sounds worse than when i get a call. which seems to have gotten worse also.

If your assumption that the ONLY change is the Sprint music store is correct, then only you can answer if the upgrade is worth it for you.
