ok that is both promising and disheartening at the same lol

But that you so much for going to all that trouble to help me out

Push come to shove:

If they don't have a replacement on the day I can take it flashed with stock rom and even if its not usable they'll say they can replace it and I can just bring it home and cook a rom that skips all of the welcome stuff when I get home.

So i'll give my mobiler a shot when I reflash but if it doesn't work then at least I won't have to be phoneless longer than the time it takes for me to take it to the store and get back home.

Ok this is much easier than I was thinking.

Once you are connected with Activesync, navigate to the \Windows\Startup folder and delete the Welcome shortcut. Then soft reset and it bypasses the calibration screen. Problem fixed. Tested on TP and it works fine.
