Not to minimize your problem, but if you've only got 15mb memory after a soft reset I'd suggest it is some other program/hacks interfering with PIE.

I've had half a dozen programs running with 3mb free and PIE has gotten really really slow, but hasn't given me any errors or crashed (yet).

if you are that frustrated try flashing to the new ROM and see if you get any improvement, maybe placebo effect but a couple of us seem to notice the ram issue is better with the new rom.

i really don't have many aftermarket programs or hacks loaded...certainly no where near what i had on my 6700. after a soft reset i can get up to 20ish but that's down to 15-17mb within a few hours and just running pie uses almost all of that.

just remember that you need to back up all the stuff you want to save because a ROM flash will delete everything(files, contact, calendar, email EVERYTHING) on your device(stuff on storage card is safe)

I haven't noticed ANY improvement on the RAM usage and leaks from the new ROM.

I was wondering, a lot of people are talking about making up a custom rom, if they did that would it fix memory problem that there is?

I have noticed this as well, which is why I run both tools to free up as much RAM as possible. Normally I run MemMaid first then SK, but that's just me...
